Journey & Labyrinth
Sunday, 24 April 2016, 5pm
Shaman in many cultures use a framework of accessing the lower, middle and upper worlds for different aspects of our spiritual nature. At this event we will Journey to the Upper World. We can use this journey to acquire archetypal knowledge, to bring a vision into being, or to influence events in the material world. By interacting with the archetypes, the shaman interacts with their counterparts in the outer world. Shamans also go there for inspiration, insight, or to find ways to restore balance in the world.
A Labyrinth is a geometrical representation of the meditation process that incorporates the body and movement into your meditation. We will begin with a centering exercise and we will then walk the labyrinth together accompanied by drum. You can walk openly or with a specific purpose or question. It is up to you. (More on Labyrinths here.)
